After graduating in Law in Catania she obtained a Master’s degree in International Protection of Human Rights at the Faculty of Political Science at La Sapienza University in Rome. She was an intern (Leonardo Da Vinci grant) at the Drumchapel law and Money Advice Centre in Glasgow and at the Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens in Viseu. She collaborated (in relation to the Mozambique justice system) with The British Institute of International and Comparative Law London. She was representative for international adoptions in Goiânia (Brazil) for AiBi ong. It was during this period that her passion for human rights combined with a passion for legal translation. Back in Italy she became a freelance interpreter/translator and sworn translator at the court of Catania for the Portuguese language. She attended the English – Portuguese legal course run by Luciana Carvalho Fonseca (TradJuris – Law, Language & Culture, São Paulo). In the literary field she translated: “Anita, the birth of a heroine” and “Bello, storia di un capello” by José Custodio Rosa Filho published by VerbaVolant editions. In the theatrical field she translated Ivan Fernandes’ play “Leonardo piccolo genio di Vinci”. She is president of the non-profit association “study centre for children’s rights”. In her spare time she loves spending time in nature (she is an environmental hiking guide-Aigae).
